Planet Earth: The Open Prison
Have you ever thought about your life and the hierarchy you and your status depends on? How about thinking way more open? The earth is a planet as we all know but it’s in space and you can’t live somewhere else. So the earth is kinda a prison you can’t escape. Earth is just a extremely large prison in which you can walk around freely, to most places. How it came to my mind that earth is a prison without knowing a prison from the inside? Logic!
Politics seen globally, is building the hierarchy and country borders define the walls of the cell you live in. Of course with the European Union you got open gates but they aren’t open for everyone as we learned in 2015/2016 with the refugee crisis. Some humans seem to be less worth than others because they were accidentally born at the wrong place or speak the wrong language or believe in something that scares off others who were born at a better place by accident.
Who gives anyone the right to judge about someone who was born at a different place, believes in something else or wants to travel to experience life by itself?
Elon Musk tries to escape it to the Moon and the Mars later. He will escape Earth but will build another prison instead. A prison where he can create his rules and his own laws. But that prison like station on Moon and Mars could be also a chance for humanity to learn from mistakes made their or from mistakes that weren’t done again there.
How about a change?
We could make life a lot better for everyone if we understand how the “Prison Earth” could work out for everyone. Since the escape only leads to new smaller prisons without the freedom of walking around without life support systems, we should think about to make it a better place.
Earth means everything to all of us but by defining luck differently, everyone has a different standpoint and viewpoint. When I became a Buddhist I found a way to enlightenment after I learned to quit materialism. I own things and I use things but I quit the hunt and the race for it. I don’t own things just to have them and I don’t own anything anymore that I don’t really need. It took me many years to get there but I’m finally home. Since then earth feels like home to me, not like a prison anymore.
I love to live on earth and I hope some more find their ways to make earth their home. Therefore I started a project “Road Of Expectations” last year which I want to focus on much more next year.
