Netflix: Something I discovered
I discovered something on Netflix. Long story short; If you aren’t into puzzles and continuing side stories in films / tv series, don’t watch it at all, seriously. And, please get your drinks before you start watching!
When I discovered the tv series “TOUCH” I immediately found out that it was from 2012 and it passed me completely. I have no clue how I could miss it entirely. I’m with Netflix for a while now and I love their range on movies and tv series. There is so much old and new and of course their own productions which are fantastic, most of the time.
“Touch” was just in some list and I started watching it two days ago. I was locked into it immediately and kept watching it for the first 14 episodes straight. The art of story telling is pretty straight but it get’s complicated over time. If you walk away to get a coffee, hit the pause button please. It’s easy to miss some detail that raises questions in your head and delivers answers later. It’s detailed and tightly filmed and visual details are very important.
I watched it in English but I couldn’t follow the story very well. After switching to German, my mother language, I had to start again from beginning with Episode 1. It was worth the time and now the story was clearly understandable to me that way.
On Netflix: Kiefer Sutherland
Recently I became a fan of Kiefer Sutherland. He is a great actor, now. His earlier years I didn’t like what he did but don’t know why. Now after I watched “Designated Survivor” and keep watching it, he caught my attention. He kinda brought me his type of acting closer. Some actors need time to catch the people.
In “Designated Survivor” he was completely in the role like the good actors which earn “trophies” like the “Oscar”. Mr. Sutherland as President of the United States was refreshing to see, if you have seen what they have to deal with now over there in the U.S..
I’ll extend this post later, when I finished the two seasons of “Touch”. Let’s see if I’m still happy with it when it’s all seen.
To be continued…
